Cookies on Airway Cubes
We keep first-party storage to a minimum, but because we advertise this site, third-party advertising cookies (including the Microsoft Advertising UET tag) are used for conversion measurement and remarketing. Here's the full picture and how to control it.
1. First-party server cookies
Airway Cubes runs on Cloudflare Workers with no login or session state, so we issue no first-party HTTP login/session cookies of our own. Cloudflare may set strictly-necessary security cookies to protect the site from abuse.
2. Functional browser storage (first-party, on your device)
awc_watch— JSON array of route IDs you saved on the fare tracker page. Up to 10 entries. Read only by the fare tracker.awc_catalog_v1— value"acknowledged", set when you dismiss the cookie banner. Stops the banner from appearing again.
Both entries live in your browser only and never leave your device. Clearing browser data, switching browsers, or using a private window clears them.
3. Advertising & measurement cookies (third-party)
We advertise Airway Cubes through Microsoft Advertising (Bing) and may use Google Ads. To measure ad performance (conversion tracking) and to reach previous visitors (remarketing), these platforms set and read cookies and similar identifiers through their tags on our pages, including the Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag. These are third-party advertising cookies and involve individual end-user tracking and data sharing with those advertising platforms for advertising and marketing purposes.
4. How to control or opt out
- Browser settings: block or delete cookies, or use a private window. Enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) where supported — we treat it as an opt-out of sharing/sale.
- Microsoft: account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings.
- Google: adssettings.google.com.
- Industry opt-out: NAI at optout.networkadvertising.org; DAA at optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.com (EU: youronlinechoices.eu).
5. When you click an outbound link
Once you click a "Compare at partner" button and land on a comparison-search partner site, that site's own cookie policy applies. We have no visibility into what cookies they set. Partner-OTA names are listed on our disclosures page for FTC affiliate transparency.
